True, we did have a small family. But both your grandmother's two brothers were still both living when you were born. As well as a couple of your grandfather's brothers-Earl, I think. There are a fair number of once-removeds on both sides of our family. but they were on the other side of the country, so we saw them only rarely--that was the thing.
